ā¢ Photos uploaded by the user to generate characters using AI.
ā¢ Technical data: IP address, device, session identifiers and basic usage necessary for platform functionality.
ā¢ Payment data processed by Stripe (we do not store card information).
3. Purpose of Processing
Data is used exclusively to:
ā¢ Create and manage the user account.
ā¢ Generate personalized AI characters.
ā¢ Create digital stories in PDF format.
ā¢ Send notifications related to the story or the account (e.g., āyour story is readyā).
ā¢ Permanently store PDFs and generated images so the user can access them at any time.
ā¢ Manage payments, billing and subscriptions.
ā¢ Ensure the security and correct functioning of the Website.
Cuentia does not sell, rent or transfer user data to third parties.
4. Processing of Photos and Uploaded Content
Photos uploaded to generate characters are processed as follows:
ā¢ Stored for a maximum of 24 hours in a temporary space.
ā¢ After generating character images, the original photos are automatically deleted.
ā¢ Photos are used exclusively to create AI illustrations.
ā¢ The generated character images (not the original photos) are stored permanently for future use.
The user guarantees they have the rights and permissions to upload such photos, including parental/guardian consent for minors.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data based on:
ā¢ Contract performance: creation of the account, story generation and PDF delivery.
ā¢ Consent: use of photos to generate AI characters.
ā¢ Legitimate interest: improving and securing the Websiteās technical operation.
ā¢ Legal obligation: billing and tax compliance.
6. Data Retention
ā¢ Uploaded photos: up to 24 hours, then deleted.
ā¢ AI-generated character images: stored permanently until deleted by the user.
ā¢ Generated PDFs: stored permanently until deleted.
ā¢ Account data: stored while the account remains active.
If the user deletes their account, data will be irreversibly deleted except data required by law.

ā¢ Firebase / Firestore: account and database management.
ā¢ Stripe: payment processing.
ā¢ AI systems (OpenAI or others): text and image generation.
Some providers are outside the EU. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) apply.
